Privacy policy.

Short version: everything stays on your phone. We don’t collect anything, we don’t track anyone, and we have no servers to send your data to.

What the app stores

ParkEasy stores the following data locally on your device, in iOS’s standard app storage:

Your current parking spot (level, zone, lot, timestamp, and optional nearby location name)
Your recent parking history (up to 50 records)
Your app preferences (haptic feedback, auto-arrival nudge, show location name)

That data never leaves your phone. There is no sign-in, no account, and no cloud sync managed by us. If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, your ParkEasy data is included in that backup under Apple’s control — not ours.

Permissions we request

Location (Always). Optional but recommended. If you enable “Auto-arrival nudge,” ParkEasy uses Apple’s Visit Monitoring API (CLVisit) to detect when you’ve arrived somewhere after driving, so it can nudge you to save your spot. We only react to arrival events reported by iOS — no routes, no continuous tracking, no coordinate logging. Arrival coordinates are used in-memory to decide whether to fire the notification and are not stored.

Location (when in use). Optional. If you enable “Show location name” in Settings, ParkEasy reads your location one time when you save a parking spot, asks Apple’s geocoder for a nearby street or landmark name, and stores that name alongside your parking record.

Motion & Fitness. Used as a filter for the auto-arrival nudge: ParkEasy asks CoreMotion whether you were driving in the last 30 minutes before an arrival, so we don’t nudge you when you’re walking or on public transit. Motion data is read in real time and not stored.

Notifications. Used to send the “Save your parking spot?” nudge when an arrival is detected. No other kind of notification is sent.

What we don’t do

No analytics. We don’t track how you use the app.
No advertising. We don’t show ads or share data with ad networks.
No third-party SDKs that collect data.
No user accounts. There’s nothing to sign into.
No servers. The app does not communicate with any ParkEasy-operated backend.

Data deletion

To delete all ParkEasy data, delete the app from your iPhone. That removes every saved spot, pair, and preference. Reinstalling gives you a fresh, empty app.

Children

ParkEasy is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect data from anyone. Since we don’t collect data at all, this applies equally to children.
